I designed and made this brass bed model while I was working for Clare Bell Brass Works in 1990. It shows all of the details of its full size counter part. It was inspired by the wagon wheel which carried the pioneers across America at the end of the 19th century.

This bed is made of 55 individual solid brass components. Including the screws which are 1/16 inch in diameter.

It uses gold plated components. The ends of the spokes are formed and fitted into holes which are drilled through the center arc.

A dime is shown actual size to show scale of the table lamp.

All drawings were developed based on a napkin sketch provided by the customer. The tooling was developed to make the model and production.
